Tareq M Massimi, MD, FACS, RPVI is a Jordanian- American, board-certified Vascular Surgeon in the MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute, Washington D.C.
Dr. Massimi is an assistant Professor of Surgery at Georgetown University, he received his medical degree from the University of Jordan, Amman in 2004 and completed his internship program at the University Of Minnesota School Of Medicine in Minneapolis, MN. He then went on to complete his General Surgery residency program at the University of Massachusetts, Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield, MA, and his Vascular fellowship program at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Norfolk, VA.
He has been practicing Vascular Surgery since 2014, his main interest is treating complex Aortic pathology, carotid disease and critical limb ischemia (CLI).
Dr Massimi is a Fellow of the American board of Surgeons and has presented in numerous regional and national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals. He is a site principal investigator for an ongoing national clinical trial and sub-investigator in numerous national clinical trials including the international BEST CLI trial.
