Atif Rana is a Diplomate American Board of Radiology. He completed his radiology residency and VIR fellowship at the University of Alabama (UAB), Birmingham, USA.

Dr. Rana worked as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UAB before he 12 years ago moved back to Pakistan to establish the Interventional Radiology Center at Shifa International Hospitals, Islamabad, where he holds the position as Chief of the Radiology Department.

His special interests are hepatobiliary, oncologic and vascular interventions. He has authored more than 20 publications.
