Mohamed EL Gharib , MD. Is a Professor of Interventional Radiology at the Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from medical school in 1996 and obtained his MD in Radiology in 2005 from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University.
Professor El Gharib is one of the pioneers in the field of interventional radiology in Egypt, a participant in the Hepatoma and Budd Chiari Groups at Ain Shams University and an active member of the liver transplantation team at Ain Shams Specialized Hospitals and the Egypt Air Hospital.
He is a member in many societies in the field of interventional radiology such as the Pan Arab Interventional Radiology Society (PAIRS), the European Cardiovascular Interventional Society (CIRSE ) and the Egyptian Society of Liver Cancer (ESLC).
He has many publications that had an impact on the field of interventional radiology in hepatobiliary interventions as well as post liver transplantation interventions.
