Dr. Osman Ahmed is an assistant professor of vascular and interventional radiology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Chicago. He completed his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at Stanford University. During his training and early career.
Dr. Ahmed has co-authored over 40 articles in interventional radiology. He has also served on the SIR economics committee and recently received the journal of vascular and interventional radiology (JVIR) award for top reviewer.
He currently serves as the social media editor for JVIR. His clinical interests include venous disease, IVC filters, and interventional oncology.
